			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mixed into this <a href="http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2008/Aug/26/bz/hawaii808260329.html">August 27, 2008 Honolulu Advertiser article on the national real estate market </a>is a quick blurb about Hawaii home sales-and it is the most pessimistic construal of the data:  In this article, they compare July 2008 against July 2007 and cite a decrease in sales.  July 2007 was a record month for home sales in Hawaii &#8211; no one expected the next year&#8217;s July to match that! </p>
<p>What they don&#8217;t tell you is that the number of sales increased from June 2008 to July 2008 for both condos and single family homes in Hawaii.  No, I did not stutter-<em>the most current data showed an increase in sales</em>.
