Green Hawaii: Honolulu Ranked as 17th Most Sustainable City in the US

Sustainlane.com, a website that focuses on healthy, "green" lifestyles, just ranked Honolulu as the 17th most "sustainable" city in the US for 2008, and #1 for air quality. This ranking of "green" cities was determined by looking at air quality, availablity of farmers markets, water quality, traffic congestion, and several other factors including the individual city's stance on eco-friendliness and disaster preparedness.
